Tuplex comprises two layers of solid polythene with flexible polystyrene granules sandwiched between them. TUPLEX's flexible construction helps to smooth minor irregularities of the subfloor and provides an ideal base for a floating hard floor. TUPLEX's granular beaded construction creates space between the floorboards and the subfloor, allowing for efficient ventilation.The two ply polyehen film in TUPLEX provides a highly effective, double moisture barrier, so no separate moisture barrier is required. A test report is available from the manufacturer.

Installation of Tuplex Overlap is easy and clean!

Always follow the flooring manufacturer’s instructions with respect to preparing and levelling the sub-floor prior to installing the underlay and flooring. Make sure the sub-floor is clean and dry. Lay out Tuplex underlay so that the seams touch and overlap, do not tape. Cover the entire floor area and run the underlay up the perimeter walls approximately 4 cm; this will provide a secure enclosure for the flooring. After the floor is installed and before the baseboards are put on, the excess underlay should be trimmed to the height of the floor surface with a fine trimming blade
